IPAF Push Around Vertical (PAV) Operator Course

What is the course?

The IPAF Push Around Vertical Operator course is aimed at people who use Push Around Vertical Platforms. These are small, simple static vertical machines with no mechanical drive that are physically pushed around. The course is also suitable for people who supervise or manage the use of Push Around Verticals.

It is not compulsory for existing IPAF PAL Card holders with either the 1a or 3a categories to take this course. However, for those people the course is still recommended because it will help them with familiarization with the machines and how they should be used.

How is the course taught and assessed?

The IPAF Push Around Vertical Operator course takes half a day to complete, with morning or afternoon sessions available. It starts with an introduction and a pre-course theory test. As well as the theory there is also practical training. The course ends with a theory test and a practical assessment.

What qualification will I receive?

Everyone who successfully completes the IPAF Push Around Vertical Operator course receives an IPAF Certificate and an IPAF Smart Powered Access Licence (PAL) Card. The PAL Card is valid for 5 years.

Entry requirements

To take the IPAF Push Around Vertical Operator course you will need to be fluent in both written and spoken English.
