Plumbing Related Occupation JIB Card

The White PRO JIB card is intended for workers who will not be doing actual plumbing or pipe fitting, but will be doing related work (not involving gas lines) on a construction site. This might include (but is certainly not limited to) pump fitters, flue fitters, or appliance, plant or equipment installers, heat pump or solar installers, and those who install greywater recycling systems.

A White JIB Card grants access to carded areas of a worksite to these plumbing related workers, and ensures that anyone working on site has the safety training necessary to do so safely.

What Else Will I Need?

There are not many prerequisites to gain a White PRO JIB Card certification.

You must have passed either the CITB Operatives Health Safety and Environment test.

Please note that the White PRO Card is not suitable for those workers who have achieved any SVQ or NVQ certification. These include:

  • Environmental Technology System (EVTS) Installation
  • Servicing and Maintenance: Heat Pumps (air source and ground source)
  • Solar Thermal
  • Rainwater/greywater recycling systems

How long is the certification valid?

The White PRO Card is valid for five years and can be renewed.

What is the next step?

Those who wish to advance their careers after earning their White card might wish to seek further certification with a Blue Card, or work directly towards a Gold Card if they already have sufficient NVQ levels.
