A Plumbing NVQ is your key to a JIB Card and better plumbing job opportunities. Construction Support Line follows the OSAT (On Site Assessment and Training) approach which is ideal for working plumbers. Our qualified assessors will come to your place of work and evaluate you as you go about your daily routine.
With a Level 2 NVQ you can get a Blue CSCS Card.
A Level 3 NVQ will qualify you for a Supervisory CSCS Card.
After a Level 4 NVQ you can get a Black CSCS Card.
Because we follow the OSAT route to the NVQ, the assessment is conducted at your place of work. Our qualified assessors will visit your work place and observe as you do your work. You do not need to take time off.
The NVQ can take from as little as a day and the entire process will not exceed three weeks. The time it takes depends on the NVQ you apply for, the skills you currently possess and the method you use to make payment. Level 2 Plumbing NVQs take the least time and the assessment can be completed in a day and the entire process in less than a week. Level 3 and 4 NVQs have more demanding requirements and can take up to 3 weeks to complete.
To takethe Level 3 Plumbing NVQ you must already hold a Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing. No such requirement applies before one can take a Level 2 Plumbing NVQ. However, all NVQ candidates should take time to go through the units of the NVQ they intend to take so they can be better prepared for the assessment.
Assessment for the Plumbing NVQ is divided into mandatory and optional units. To get the NVQ, a candidate must pass all mandatory units and possibly one optional unit in addition.
Construction Support Line has a convenient and affordable installment payment program. Assessment can start with an initial deposit of as little as £ 50. For details on the installment payment scheme and the cost of each NVQ, fill out the form which can be found at the top of the this page.
To pass the Plumbing NVQ, you must meet a certain minimum number of credits. If you fail a unit, you can take additional units to satisfy the credits requirement.
After your Plumbing NVQ you should take the JIB (Joint Industry Board) Health, Safety & Environment Test. If you book your Plumbing NVQ assessment with us, we will book you a JIB Health, Safety & Environment Test at no cost whatsoever.
