Health & Safety in a Construction Environment

What is the course?

This five day course is designed to give attendees the skills and knowledge they need to work on construction sites safely and reduce the risk of injury to themselves and others. It provides a basic qualification in health and safety site knowledge which is now necessary for anyone seeking a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Labourer Card.

How is the course taught and assessed?

This course is taught in a classroom by a qualified health and safety professional. It will involve individual work and may also include working in groups. Your participation and group contribution will be assessed, as will your performance on a multiple-choice test.

What qualification will I receive?

Successful completion of this course will earn a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. This qualification is valid for life.

Entry requirements

This course is appropriate for those with no previous construction safety training, and anyone seeking qualification as a Labourer in a construction context. Fluency in written and spoken English is required to take this course.
