What is the course?

The CPCS A60 Mobile Crane course has been designed to assist any individual who is looking for formal training in relation to how to safely and effectively operate a mobile crane.

This course is designed to combine elements of classroom tutorials and practical elements, with assessment in both fields at the end of the course.

Who Should Take This Course?

Any novice, who will be required to operate a mobile crane, and have not received any formal training, is suitable to apply to this course.

What Qualifications Will I Receive?

Candidates who successfully complete the course will be entitled to a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card, once they have successfully completed the appropriate CPCS Technical Test.

Entry Requirements

Entrants must hold a Group C category licence, required for driving on the open road. Applicants must also have made sure that in the two years prior to the course, they have passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test. A good understanding of both written and spoken English is also a requirement.

What Can I Do Next?

Once candidates have passed the CPCS A60 Mobile Crane course they may take the CPCS Blue Card training, Telescopic Handler, Slinger/Signaller, Crawler Crane, or Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane courses.
